Terms of Service

1. What TOUSE is
TOUSE is an invitation and check-in tool. It lets hosts send invite links, keep a guest list, track who they've marked as paid, and scan passes at the door. TOUSE does not organize, host, run, supervise, or attend any event, and it is not a party to any arrangement between hosts and guests.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and host events. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement. Guests using an invite link confirm they are allowed to attend the event under the laws where it takes place.
3. Host responsibilities
Hosts are solely responsible for their events and everything that happens at them, including: following all applicable laws; checking ages and IDs; never serving or supplying alcohol, cannabis, or other age-restricted substances to anyone under the legal age; venue capacity, noise, permits, and safety; and the conduct of their guests. Using TOUSE to check people in does not verify anyone's age or identity.
4. Payments
TOUSE does not process, hold, or refund money. Any "paid" status is a note the host sets manually. Payment arrangements are strictly between hosts and guests, and TOUSE has no responsibility for disputes, refunds, or chargebacks.
5. Prohibited use
You may not use TOUSE for any illegal event or activity, including providing alcohol or drugs to minors, unlicensed sale of alcohol, events that break local occupancy or safety rules, harassment, or spam. We may suspend or delete accounts and events that violate these terms, without notice.
6. Guest information
Hosts only see the names guests enter and the contact details the host added. Don't add people who haven't agreed to hear from you. Guest passes are tied to the device that claimed them and can't be transferred.
7. No warranty
TOUSE is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a pass or scan will always work. Hosts should have a backup plan at the door.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, TOUSE and its owners are not liable for any injury, death, property damage, legal penalties, lost money, or other harm arising from any event, or from anyone's attendance, conduct, or use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, if any.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless TOUSE and its owners from any claims, damages, fines, or costs (including legal fees) arising from events you host, your guests' actions, or your breaking these terms or any law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continuing to use TOUSE after a change means you accept the new terms.
